Almost certainly at the one turn on Buckley and the “fence near the airport” was the airport fence. A friend with a business at the turn wondered about why all the Sunday double-time by County workers. He didn’t realize that the fence was regularly taken out on Saturday nights by people taking the long way from the Grad to avoid SLO cops on Broad St. and being the airport fence had to be fixed immediately.

Wear your seatbelt.

18 years old (an inexperienced driver) in the dark, in the rain, going to fast, no seat belt

Recipe for disaster

A darned shame. Another senseless “no seatbelt” fatality.
