San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s detectives arrested an Avila Beach man on Tuesday for allegedly possessing child pornography.
Shortly before 9 a.m., detectives with the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement team searched the home of 48-year-old Joseph Rizzardi. Investigators had previously traced child pornography back to Rizzardi’s computer.
During the search, deputies seized several other computer devices, which are believed to contain similar videos and images of children.
Deputies booked Rizzardi in San Luis Obispo County Jail. He is no longer in custody, though, according to the sheriff’s website.
The Arroyo Grande Police Department High Tech Crimes Unit assisted with the investigation.
