A currently unidentified man was killed early Sunday morning in a single vehicle accident in rural Paso Robles, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Shortly after midnight, the man was driving a 1995 Ford F-150 pickup northbound on River Road near Experimental Road when he lost control going around a curve. He hit two utility poles cutting them off near the ground, rolled the vehicle and then crashed into a tree.
CHP investigators have not yet identified the man and they do not believe alcohol was a factor in the accident.
The crash knocked out power for several residents in the area, though it is expected to be restored by 5 p.m. Sunday.
