A utility worker looking to relive himself discovered a body hanging in a tree on Thursday north of Greenfield, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrived to find the decomposing body in a tree off a Highway 101 access road. It appears the person had been hanging from the tree for about three weeks.
Though it appears to be a suicide, coroner’s investigators are working to identify the man and formally establish a cause of death.
