Alisha Amber Cannon, 31, allegedly used her bookkeeper position at Templeton-based Simons Construction Inc. to divert funds into her personal account. She did so over a period of at least three years, according to court documents.
Last week, a San Luis Obispo County Superior Court judge sentence Cannon to three years of probation and ordered her to pay restitution to Simons Construction. The sentence followed a plea deal in which prosecutors dropped two felony charges.
Cannon initially faced three counts of grand theft by embezzlement, but the agreement with prosecutors erased two of the counts.
