The manager of a small village on the shores of Lake Tahoe declined his $25,000 annual bonus, saying he wants to set an example for his employees. [MercuryNews]

Incline Village General Improvement District General Manager Bill Horn said he refused the bonus because nearly 30 other managers and employees were denied their bonuses earlier in the year and if he was going to ask them to make sacrifices, he needs to do the same.

Horn receives a salary of $164,000 per year.
