The San Luis Obispo Police Department is asking the public for help identifying a pair of thieves who allegedly stole a wallet and cell phone on Tuesday, and then used stolen credits cards to make thousands of dollars of purchases.

Police say the two women are suspected of stealing a wallet and cell phone at Spark Yoga, located 977 Foothill Boulevard. They then took credit cards from the wallet and made purchases at the Apple Store and Lululemon totaling $7,700.

Anyone who can help identify the suspects is asked to call Officer Etherton at (805) 594-8062.

They aren’t “alleged” or “suspected” of doing it. We see them. They did it. Once you identify their names, then they can be a named suspect for legal purposes. This is so typical. Just ask any CVS or Target or……., They aren’t allowed to stop them. Personally, I would shoot pepper spray in their mugs if I saw them doing it. But I would be arrested and they would be rewarded with a gold star on their slimy foreheads. Vote for sanity.

Remember, you can get alerts from your card issuer when your card is used. A prompt alert could have prevented this crime!

Vendors need to go back to checking ID and not rush to make the sale. Simply slowing down the transaction would eliminate half of these stories.
