arrestA probation sweep of Northern San Luis Obispo County netted 19 arrests of probationers Tuesday.

Around 6 p.m. Tuesday, the San Luis Obispo County Probation Department, in partnership with several local law enforcement agencies, contacted a total of 61 probationers in Paso Robles, Atascadero, Templeton and San Miguel. Officers arrested 19 individuals for probation or parole violations or for new criminal charges.

Law enforcement confiscated a firearm, other weapons, a small amount of methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and possible evidence of narcotics sales and gang involvement.

Child Protective Services responded to one location where two children had been exposed to drugs.

Officers booked all of the arrested probationers in San Luis Obispo County Jail or Juvenile Hall.

Paso Robles police, Atascadero police, county sheriff’s deputies, California Highway Patrol officers, Atascadero State Hospital Police, Homeland Security agents, Paso Robles Code Enforcement officers, county gang task force members and Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit deputies participated in the sweep.
